Hosting a tournament
How to host an osu! tournament on tourney.haruhime.moe: sign in, make a lineage and its first edition, then work through the setup checklist to open registration.
tourney runs an osu! tournament in one place: registration, teams, qualifiers, the bracket, the schedule and results.
Start
#Sign in with osu!, then pick Host a tournament. Make a lineage (the series, like "Evergreen Cup") and its first edition (one year of it). Each account can run one edition at a time. Ask on the Discord server to become a verified host, which raises that to 10.
The lineage owner can add admins by osu! ID. Admins can change every edition of the lineage; only the owner can hand the lineage to someone else.
Phases
#An edition moves forward through its phases and can skip the ones it doesn't use:
- Setup. Its checklist shows what's missing before registration can open.
- Registration. Players (or team captains) register between the opening and closing times you set.
- Qualifiers, if the edition has them.
- Bracket. The main bracket is played.
- Done.
Who sees the edition
#The edition's settings have a site option:
- Auto shows the public page once the edition leaves setup.
- Hidden shows it only to the lineage's owner and admins. Everyone else gets "not found".
- Live shows it right away, even in setup.
A change shows on the next page load.
Registration
#Add your own questions to the form (text, long text, a number, a link, a checkbox, one choice or several), and limit who may register by rank, country or region. Each registration keeps a snapshot of the player's osu! username, rank and country from the moment they registered; it never refreshes.
On the registrations page, approve, waitlist or reject players, up to 200 at once. Approving a solo player or a team's captain makes their team.
Rounds and pools
#Set the bracket's size and format (single or double elimination, a third place match, a grand final reset) and the rounds follow. For each round you can set its name, best of, a window for match times, and its pool from pools.haruhime.moe.
A round's pool stays off the public page until you tick revealed. That only hides tourney's link: whether the pool itself is public is set on pools.haruhime.moe.
Qualifiers and seeding
#Type qualifier scores in, or fill them from a lobby's mp link (you see a preview first and save it yourself). Then seed from the qualifiers, at random from a seed number, or by hand, and make the bracket.
The bracket can be made again until the first result is saved.
Schedule
#Set each match's time by hand, or ask for suggestions: tourney looks at both teams' availability inside the round's window and the higher seed's players break ties. Fill round gives every untimed match in a round its best suggestion. Times are stored in UTC and everyone sees them in their own time zone.

Your dashboard
#The home page lists every lineage you run, with what needs you in each edition: registrations to review, matches without a time, and results overdue.
